For some reason, my laptop switched to outlet power. Can you tell me how to switch back to that other option?
Also, whenever I unplug my laptop, it goes out, and the only way to turn it back on is plugging it back in, then turning the power back on.

Because you are plugged into an outlet. If you unplug the outlet, it should go into the battery reserve.

I’d like to see if I can find a decent laptop online to do work for one client who wants to put their own software on my computer. This is so I can dedicate that computer to them and not risk my personal info being tracked by their proprietary CRM software. I’ve heard of slickdeals.net and just tried amazon.com. Any other Websites you recommend to find a great deal?

I mostly use my computer i have right now for downloading/listening to music, Internet, editing pics, and doing reports for school. i want a laptop that can pllay DVDs. So I saw a small Acer Laptop in CURRYS/DIXONS today basically it really tiny and had an 8BG harddrive with 548ish ram. It costs £199 or £249 with Windows installed on it

Would it be suitable/cool” for my 15 y/o daughter to have this Laptop

All she does is log onto MSN, Bebo, and thats about it………

But Obviously I don’t want her to be stuck with an “uncool laptop” is this one ok?

It wont be powerful enough for games. But laptops aren’t made for gaming.
It’s perfect for surfing the internet, writing, watching movies, listening to music and other things that don’t require a strong hardware.
Don’t forget to look after the battery life. Ask for a good one.

Your daughter would like it I think. I highly recommend it.

You can usually sell anything on EBAY, just make sure you put that it is broken, or you could get into trouble… Just say selling laptop, AS IS, and say what is wrong with it.. And a good proce for something like that would probably be… 50 bucks? mabye a bit less? because there are people that fix laptops and stuff for fun, so i guess they would get a bite at it
