Question by : Laptop processor comparison – please help!?
Hi, i’ve been looking for a laptop for a while now and think ive come across a decent setup for the price –

Intel core 2 duo T9400 (2.53ghz)
4gb corsair DDR3 1066mhz ram
320 gb hard drive
512mb DDR3 ATi RADEON HD 4650
Vista home premium 64bit

And that costs £455

Although it wont be used solely for games i’d ideally like it to be able to play some decent ones – (not “crysis” standard, but things like COD4, medievel 2 total war) and last me a while. Im no expert on processors or graphics cards so was wondering if anyone could give me any advice as to whether that spec is worth going for?

I have the option to change the processor to an “intel core 2 extreme mobile X9100 (3.06ghz) but that bumps the price up to £890 – which is quite a jump and considering i cant change the graphics card i was wondering if that would be worth it?

i think this laptop would be fine the way the it is and will play a lot of different games fine. as long as it is not an ACER or a DELL you should be good to go :0)
