I am traveling from Canada to the US and will be in the US during Presidents day. I have read/heard that it is a huge shopping time in the US and was curious if the shopping sales would include things such as laptops. I will be going to New York.

There is no actual “named” day for deals after Black friday.
I would say the 1st-2nd weekend of December is usually a good time.
Stores know when people want to start shopping.. and many people who want to avoid the lines of black friday find good deals the first few weeks of December and are still happy.

Yes there are a lot of laptops of this kind. However, many cost over $ 1,000. The best gaming laptop I can think of is the Dell Alienwear m15x gaming laptop. Maybe what you are looking for is the Alienware AM11x-826CSB Gaming Laptop, which costs $ 798, just in your budget!

no, u would hav to get an old computer or buy a new one and hav to pay someone to take vista off and put xp on because they only sell new computers with vista now.

there is no special browser
just increase the font size – view – text size and choose one that suits you –
or if you want to change the size of what your viewing hold down the CTRL key and move the mouse wheel

you probably wouldn’t find anything nice for under $ 200. The only thing I can think of is a mini netbook. A good, long lasting, worth the price laptop would cost around $ 500-$ 1000. I would keep checking online. And try not to get a used laptop, you might get scammed.
